Three beauty products I love right now

November 7, 2017

I’ve always been honest with you and right now I’m going to be honest. My skin is awful and it’s really bringing me down. When I arrived here my skin was incredible and probably the best it’s been in years thanks to all the Dermapen and Dermalogica facials I was doing back home. Now, since I’m getting four-five  hours of sleep and working 12 hour days for school my skin is screaming at me. It also doesn’t help that I’m not really watching my diet.

That and the fact that I love Asian Beauty I’ve started to incorporate new products into my skincare and makeup routine. I have quite a few to talk about but today I’m just talking about three things I love. Two Asian and one I brought from home.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion

Hada Labo Gokujyun lotion review

I cannot tell you how much I love this ‘lotion’. Here in Japan, a lotion is actually what we would call a toner. Instead of performing ONLY the function of balancing your ph levels after cleansing, these lotions provide a variety of benefits. My favourite is hydration. I’ve been using his Hada Labo Gokujyun lotion since I got here and I love it. On very stressful days I apply a few layers and then I layer my serums on top to keep my skin moisturised.

Korean Italy Towel

Korean Italy towel review

Have you heard of Korean Italy Towels? Well, I’m about to share the grimy news. These rayon towels are torture exfoliating towels and they really work! You prepare you skin by washing and then soaking in the bath for at least fifteen minutes and then go to town all over yourself. Following that you can actually see the dirt and dead skin in the bathtub. It’s gross, but your skin will never feel better. I’ve actually started enjoying my sessions and this baby is keeping my legs and arms the smoothest they have been in ages.

Lancome Monsieur Big Brow

Lancome Monsieur Big Brow

I brought this Lancome Monsieur Big Brow chubby pencil from home and I am glad I did! It glides on smoothly and the brush it comes with is great for creating a really sculpted look. It’s easy to use the pencil to create a natural OR dramatic look and I love it. I didn’t think I’d ever stop using The Face Shop Design My Brows but I’m pretty happy with this right now.

Are there any products you love right now? Let me know!
