I think I’m a label-junkie, so when something comes out of what seems like nowhere I’m always a little suspicious. When Swiitch Beauty offered to send me their new #GLOWGASMPALETTE I’ll embarrass myself and say that I didn’t know much about their brand. Now I know that it was started by a teenager and has become a legitimate brand for beauty bloggers and lovers in South Africa. On the ‘About Us’ page, founder Rabia talks about how she was packaging orders after doing homework. I’m always impressed by people who break the mould , get out there and find success in their own ways. The brand not only has a slick website but they have a beautiful Instagram page with tons of makeup inspiration.
I liked the idea, but I wanted to see what the hype was about, especially when it came to the #GLOWGASMPALETTE. The palette includes five powder highlighter shades and one cream highlighter and retails for R450. Its a really good selection of shades. My favourite shade is the top left hand corner, it’s almost a metallic bronzer on me and work work really well to highlight my collar bones and blend into my normal contour for a night out. A close second is the shade in the top right hand corner, it’s a nice warm highlighter that compliments my skin tone.
The palette is HUGE, I’m sure you’ve seen some makeup Instagrammers holding it up against their faces so you’ll know this. Overall, I am so happy with the the palette. The powders are silky and the cream is smooth and blend-able. Below I’ve swatched both rows, the top first and then then bottom. Sorry for the potato quality of the bottom row, but it just wouldn’t stop catching the light ;).
To close this off, I don’t see why you should try out this palatte, the quality is really good for the price and the shades are universal and flattering. Go for it.
