Welcome to SA! You already know how much I love it when brands decide that South Africa is a viable market for them. These days, it’s every month that I see something new, which just means South Africa is becoming more and more of a player in the beauty and fashion world. On that note, Salvatore Ferragamo decided to re-enter South Africa with their fragrance lines. I spent the morning with them at their newly renovated boutique at Sandton City (which is so stunning I might add) to explore the range.
The range of fragrances includes the Signorina line which is young, fresh and so relevant. I received the Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Misteriosa to experience because it was my favourite at the launch. Misteriosa, directly translates to mysterious and that’s what the fragrance is about. It’s a sensual, unpredictable scent.
The bottle features the iconic Ferragamo bow you’ll find on their Vara flats and other items and features rose gold detailing. It’s a dainty, classic bottle.
Based on the description of the scent, I expected a woody, deep scent but was surprised when it was almost the opposite. Misteriosa is a deep, yet sweet fragrance with tones of blackberry, patchouli and vanilla. While it wasn’t what I expected, I really, really love it.
Salvatore Ferragamo fragrances are available at their Sandton City boutique and selected retailers.
