Last week when I introduced the Pond’s Beautiful habits campaign (and the giveaway I might add!) I introduced you guys to the idea of beautiful habits. Today’ I’m sharing my beautiful habits. Let me know what yours are in the comments. 🙂
Drink lots of water
You’ve probably heard this one many times before, but our bodies need adequate hydration to function properly. Drinking enough water helps our kidney’s, bowel and skin function better. A lack of hydration can actually be visible in your skin and it can look dull and develop fine lines. I tend to have dehydrated upper cheeks so I am trying to drink enough water to combat this.
Spike your water with lemons (and lime!)
If you’re not a fan of the taste of water, adding lemon really helps. Lemons have tons of Vitamin C, Calcium and Magnesium. Limes have the same nutrients, but when I run out of lemons, they work just fine!
Feed your body good stuff
As I’m nearing my late twenties I’ve noticed that my body doesn’t handle junk food as easily as it used to. My tummy aches and I just start feeling really sluggish. I probably don’t have to tell you why junk food is bad for you and why you should try to eat more unprocessed food, so I’ll stop there. Because of this, I’ve been trying to make healthy switches, I don’t overeat, I try to eat five fruits and veggies a day and most importantly, I’m sticking to healthy and unprocessed fats and carbs. Coconut oil is my favourite!
Use preventative skincare
I can’t mention this more, but prevention is better than cure. It really is. Whenever someone pulls a face when I mention my anti-ageing skin care routine I smile politely and know that my skin is taken care of. Part of my job is to let you know how to take care of your skin. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on skin-care just yet, try the Pond’s Age Miracle Intensive Cell ReGEN™ Serum, it’s less than R160 at Dischem right now and at this price point it can’t be beat.
Remember, you can still WIN one of those Pond’s hampers by sharing your expression lines with me. All the details are in my first post announcing the giveaway!
Here are my expression lines:
