A serum for everyone’s pocket: Beautiful Habits

July 27, 2016

IMG_1489I know how hard it can be to shop the beauty aisles on your own. It’s a confusing place full of claims boasting to completely free of you of this ‘thing’ called ageing. It can be overwhelming and it gets very easy to spend too much because you think you need it. Just like buying an expensive t-shirt doesn’t guarantee that it will be the best t-shirt you ever bought, you can’t assume that you need a fancy R1000 serum to use on your face. But I do suggest you use products that are backed up by research and solid reviews.

As part of the Pond’s Beautiful Habits campaign, Pond’s sent me some products from their Age Miracle range. It was a good opportunity to try a cosmetic that’s affordable on almost anyone’s budget. I’ve been using the Pond’s Intensive Cell Regen serum for the past three weeks and I like the way my skin is responding to it.

POND’S Intensive Cell ReGEN™ Serum review

The serum comes packaged in an airless pump bottle with silver and chrome accents. The serum is creamy and the texture is similar to a moisturiser.

After applying the serum I can definitely see some superficial blurring of my skin tone and texture, which is great. I didn’t notice it at first, but there are really small glitter particles in the serum which add to an immediate radiance.

The serum might be creamy but I really like it, it absorbs well into my skin and hasn’t created any pilling with any of my foundations.  In fact, it’s working well as a primer. I haven’t had any breakouts since I’ve started using the serum and my skin texture feels great. I didn’t think I would keep using this serum after this month’s but I’ll definitely be finishing the bottle.

P.S. I extended entries for the giveaway!

P.P.S. This is a sponsored post but my opinions, as always, are honest and reflect my actual thoughts and impressions.
