Babor Ampoule Concentrates FP New Skin Fluid Review

September 20, 2015

I have become very serious about skincare. Sure, I love makeup, but makeup looks better on smooth, even skin. One of the biggest problems I have is dry skin. The skin around my nose and mouth can get really flaky and because I am using some anti-acne products, the skin seems to be getting rougher. You’ll probably know about my obsession with hydrating products and I am very critical of serums that seem to promise the world. That being said, I really enjoy seeing the difference in my skin a great serum can make.

I really enjoyed using the Babor Ampoule Concentrates FP New Skin Fluid. That’s a very long name, but let me simplify it. Babor has a range of fluid ampoules each targeting a different skin concern. New Skin Fluid is about regenerating  uneven, dull and flaky skin. It will regulate the skins moisture balance, help skin that lacks lipids and strengthens your skins resistance to external influences.

Okay well, what are lipids?

After water, lipids are the most frequently used ingredient in skincare after water. A lipid is basically a fatty substance like a fatty acid, waxes, sterols, ceramides and other molecules. Lipids play a crucial role in skin barrier function and make up 50% of cell membranes and as a result they need to be protected through proper skincare. Skin without a proper barrier is often flaky and prone to eczema.

The Babor Ampoule Concentrates FP New Skin Fluid is all about rejuvenating skin through maintaining its barrier.

Did I like it?

I really like the serum. I’m not a fan of the ampoule format, but I understand the benefits. One capsule lasts me two very generous applications and is easy to break. The serum itself feels rich but light enough to be absorbed well. It leaves my skin feeling nice, plump and smooth the next morning.

You can buy the Babor Ampoule Concentrates FP New Skin Fluid for and RSP of R732 at selected spas or online on the Babor website.
