Polish Nail Spa Review + Win

March 10, 2014

Tucked away in The Parks shopping centre, a small community centre on Jan Smuts lies Polish, an equally cosy and refreshing nail spa. Polish is small but well-decorated and offers a good variety of services for nails. They are big OPI fans and also offer Shellac.

A few weeks ago I had a mani + pedi at Polish and I loved it. The owner is friendly and gracious and the cappuccino they served me was great! One thing that really stayed with me after I left was just how professional but friendly the nail technicians were. The ladies had me laughing at my weird toenails and offered me the right amount of flattery with it. I loved it, it was no awkward exchange between two ladies who’re not sure where to look.

I will definitely be heading back to Polish (even if it’s only to get my fix of Smith’s Rosebud Salve!).

Oh yes, I have a Mani + Pedi to give away at Polish!

It’s easy to win, all you have to do is tell me about your first ever manicure experience in the comments below.

The winner will be chosen by a random draw and this competition is only open to ladies in Johannesburg. Β We will not offer transport to the salon.

You have until the 23rd March to enter.

You can find Polish At The Parks;

Shop Nr 5
The Parks Shopping Centre
cnr Wells & Jan Smuts Avenue

And you can call them onΒ 011 447 7952

Their prices are very reasonable (at R200 for a standard manicure and R300 for a Shellac).

Happy Nails everyone πŸ™‚

    i’ve only been to one in 2006, and my friend paid for it. It was a classic French mani/pedi, and my toes were really ticklish. Other than that I can’t remember much πŸ˜› Always wanted to try again, so fingers crossed πŸ˜›

    My first mani experience was for my matric dance, in 2004, yes I am getting old! I remember I wanted french tips, and the lady said to me I will never put tips on your nails because you will damage them and your nails are strong and healthy. Boy I am glad she refused to put tips, if it wasnt for her maybe I wouldnt have any nails to blog about :P. So, I just did a french mani on my fingers, and I dont remember what on my toes. And that is my story! Would love to win this! And btw, I found sleek at foschini in sandton

    I was 14 and a tomboy. My Mom booked me for a mani and I was being a pest right up until we were outside the salon. I refused to go in, but she commanded me to and I’m so glad she did… It was a lovely experience and the 1st of many! πŸ™‚

    I will never forget my first manicure because I had it for my wedding. I had been growing my nails for weeks but we were having a garden wedding (at my parents house) and I basically ended up breaking them all trying to get the garden looking good. So my first manicure was all about the French tips πŸ™‚
