I’ve been bragging about it for the entire weekend and I couldn’t resist. Over the weekend I was a guest of the J&B Met and the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town. I freaked out, dragged my boyfriend around Johannesburg to find an outfit and forced him through a mini beauty routine (yes, it included a face mask) for the trip. He didn’t enjoy it.
I enjoyed staying at the Pepperclub Hotel. I really loved hearing the vibe and party happening down on Long street and on Saturday Night the boyf and I decided to experience it for ourselves. Cape Town stole my heart years ago and I haven’t forgotten about Long Street, even if I’m probably just going down there for dinner.
The J&B Met wasn’t really what I expected, mostly because I didn’t understand how it all worked. I had made plans to meet everyone I knew in the Sunglasshut tent, which I didn’t get access to (figures) and when I got there I was faced with burly security guards. I trudged back to my tent and gorged myself on the buffet, treated myself to ice cream and desserts and continued to people-watch. It wasn’t a bad deal 😉
I got to hang out with Elrico and Ritza from Luxo blog again and snapped a shot of Jonathan Boynton-lee.
What I wore: I wore: A gorgeous Forever New dress with an Accessorize clutch and head-piece with my Miss Roberta peep-toe heels. I really wanted to dress more theme-appropriate, but I didn’t quite have the time.
I had a fantastic time and enjoyed everything about the J&B Met. Thanks for a great time!
