Whatever your opinion about Luminance is, there is no denying that it is gorgeous. The design of the store is well thought-of and immediately puts you at ease. Each section of the store is similar, but different to another and it’s a nice mix between cosy and spacious. There are fresh orchids and roses throughout the store that could make you forget you were in a mall. It also helps that the carpet is like a pillow for your feet. Carpet isn’t really the most popular floor covering right now, but there is something so luxe and extravagant about a soft carpet you could roll around on. I thought, Is this how other people shop?. When I shop I don’t feel this comfortable, I dread Saturday morning at Sandton City. I thought, could I just come here to hang out and not buy anything? That couch near the Sergio Rossi shoes could be a perfect DMC spot. Just when I thought Luminance couldn’t get better, it did.
I was invited to the launch of the Luminance Personal Shopping Service launch. Luminance has created a personal shopping room, designed by Jon Jacob and the room is everything. It is luxe without being verbose and is fitted with a three way mirror (obvs) and flattering light. The Personal Shopping service will be offered to Luminance customers on appointment only, the appointment process will help Luminance assign a personal stylist to you and give them an idea of your interests. When you arrive for the appointment, you will be greeted with a variety of treats and cakes. All your tailored suggestions will be brought to the room and you will never have to leave. You don’t have to deal with another shopper at all. Personal shopping is the epitome of luxury, you don’t even have to carry your own purchases out of the door, Luminance will deliver everything to your car or your home. The service is also open to personal stylists who wish to bring their clients.
I loved Luminance, thanks for having me at the store.
