I love eyeliner, but when they come in such small tubs and tubes they always get lost in my handbag so I am almost always on the hunt for new eyeliner that is well-priced. Of course I stopped by the Catrice and Essence counters because their products are almost always impressive. My requirements were simple:
1. Matte, black eyeliner.
2. Easy application that wasn’t a felt tip pen (I’ve had a recent bad experience with these).
3. Long lasting.
4. Easy to use
Ideally I wanted Bourjois Liner Pinceau but it is so hard to gt hold of these days so I picked up the Catrice eyeliner for R49.99. I swatched it on my hand 3 times and compared it to quite a few other drugstore products. The Catrice Liquid Liner 010 Dating Joe Black won because while this may look like a felt tip pen, it’s more like a felt tip brush. The felt tip part is removed from the liquid when you open it.
The liner is easy to use and the point can draw a very fine line. The long handle makes it really easy to do a cat eye and I never have ANY trouble using this. It doesn’t flake or smudge at all once dry as well. This is not the waterproof version and is easily removed. It’s definitely one of my go-to liners at the moment.
Catrice is available at Dischem.
