I was sent quite a few Schwarzkopf Palette Deluxe hair colours to try out quite a while ago and have only had the chance to try one of them so far. I tried the blonde color I was given and used it to lighten the bottom half of my hair. It lightened my hair but it didn’t come close to blonde (I wasn’t expecting that anyway). What I was really pleased about was the fact that it did not leave my hair with any sort of harsh copper tone for the first few weeks. With naturally black hair I almost always get a very red undertone that almost overpowers the brown I’ve dyed it.
I used Silver Blond 10-1 and followed the instructions. The whole box just about covered the bottom of my hair. The picture of my hair is two weeks later. While all my hair doesn’t seem to be covered very well, most of it settled into a nice shade of medium brown.
Overall, I was pretty happy with the hair dye and didn’t expect it to bring my hair very close to the colour on the box. It didn’t dry my hair out too much and added dimension to my hair. If you do have long and thick hair and plan to do your whole head then I would suggest that you use two or more boxes.
