Soho Salon Sandton City Review with Zoya

soho nails salon sandton review

I had the fantastic opportunity of experiencing a signature manicure and pedicure at the Soho nails salon in Sandton City. I loved it because;

1. the location is ridiculously convenient for me

2. I can do my shopping after.

Soho is a well developed luxe salon located in the mall but in a quiet alcove away from the noise. They offer a variety of treatments including waxing  but I had the signature manicure and pedicure (which includes a massage). I picked two beautiful Zoya colours for both because I had been hearing so much about a Zoya manicure but hadn’t had the chance to have one yet. Soho didn’t have that many Zoya options, but they have a large variety of other brands as well.

The salon has these gorgeous massage chairs for your pedicure and you really do get a pamper. They include a lower leg massage in the signature pedicure as well. I just laid back and let the girls do their work. I chose a red colour for my hands and am particularly impressed with the pigment from the Zoya polish. After a quick look, I asked the beauty therapist if she had applied two coats and it really was just one. Days later when I removed it I noticed how much pigment it contained, my cotton pads were soaked in red. Once the painting was done, I was shuttled off to the ‘drying station’ which is really just a row of chairs at UV drying machines. There were a ton of magazines to choose from that I couldn’t read because my nails were drying. I love how everything is branded Soho, the stands, the flip flops, the jars, everything. The ladies at Soho have put so much detail into the salon and personalising everything.

A quick glance at the Soho Facebook page revealed that they are loved by some of SA’s glamourati. Even then, I loved the service I received at Soho, everyone was friendly and very helpful.

    I can’t wait to see your photos. How long did the Zoya polish last for you?

      I have updated now 🙂

      I wore it for 5 days then had to change for other reasons, the quality was exceptional. It didn’t move back, chip or anything. Very impressed. Most brands usually move back after a day or two on me.

        It looks really good. You have very nice nails too 🙂 That’s amazing. I’d love to try it. My nail polish usually starts chipping as soon as the next day.
