This morning I was invited to attend the Media Launch of the Pond’s Flawless Radiance BB cream because I am currently their Blogger Of the Month (exciting stuff!). I had actually known about the bb cream for a while, but kept my mouth shut and just waited and waited. The launch was a pretty high tea at the Westcliff, which is one of my favourite destinations in Johannesburg. The service is absolutely terrific and I would never argue with that view.
Pond’s were really excited to share the BB cream with us because they have been working on it and adapting the darker shade to African skin for a long time. Wait, correction – the darker shade was developed for an African Skin. So yes, it is darker than most BB creams. The BB cream comes with spf 30 PA ++ in two shades, beige and chocolate. I am a little dismayed to see that there isn’t a medium shade as well. The bb cream contains the Pond’s Genactiv formula which helps even out skin tone after a while.
The goodie bag contained both shades of the bb cream and I couldn’t resist but do a quick swatch for everyone 🙂
The shades are very different, but they do adapt to skin tone. However, the chocolate is WAY too dark for me, but the beige blends very well. I applied A LOT of product in this photo, that amount covered my hand and part of my arm. I can’t say much else about that, but I will do a full review soon.
The Pond’s Flawless Radiance BB cream contains the Pond’s Genactiv formula which is enriched with Vitamin B3, Vitamin e, Allantoin and Super Optics. The BB cream is meant to compliment your face care regime and assists with long-term mark reduction. It will be available from the 22nd April and is priced at R89.99 for the 25ml.
You will see a full review post in a while 🙂 Thanks Pond’s for having me!
