Thicker hair is not something I really need, but I am really trying to grow out my fringe and hair colour, so while shopping with the boyf I thought I’d just pick up some horse shampoo ( I make it sound far more easy than it actually was). We purchased the Equiline Hose Shampoo over the Trident because a) it was more expensive and well, more expensive is better right? (I know, it was a stretch).
The shampoo costs around R160 for a 1 litre bottle. That’s around R40 for 250ml which is the same price as standard shampoos. I did also purchase small containers to decant the shampoo into to make it easier when I was showering. The 1 litre bottle is huge and the shampoo is quite thin.
I also bought some bergamot essence which many claim to stop hair loss, I won’t be using it in my first two weeks, but I will use it after and compare the results.
Cheerleaders of horse shampoo will tell you that it makes your hair thicker, shinier and grow quicker. Because horse hair is so similar to human hair, it is safe to use horse shampoo on your hair.
1. Use horse shampoo every 3rd wash.
2. Make sure that you use a good conditioner.
3. Be careful when using horse shampoo f you have very fine or dry hair.
I’ll be using horse shampoo for the next two weeks and get back here with an update 🙂
Update: I couldn’t use this! It made my hair really dry and I barely saw any difference. Did it work for you?
