Ghazal North Indian Restaurant | Review

ghazal restaurant review

The Boyfriend and I have found a new favourite Indian restaurant to haunt after our Fordsburg expeditions turned sour after one too many chewy steak dishes. We went to Ghazal in Bryanston on a whim and won’t regret it. The Tripadvisor reviews of this place are mostly glowing and so is mine. Every curry on the menu is around R98 but they come served with rice and can easily serve 2 people. The chicken tikka is well priced as well, at R52 for HALF a chicken and chips. I do suggest that you buy some butter naan to go with any of your dishes. It is a great addition and Ghazal makes it very well.

You can also choose how spicy or sweet every dish you order should be. The boyfriend likes to order things hot, I prefer medium. We ordered a chicken makhne once medium and once hot. I really prefer it medium. The makhne is sweet and fragrant with the most tender chicken. The Chicken Tikka was also soft and tender, but quite spicy at Hot.

The first time we visited was on a weekend evening and the restaurant was incredibly busy. There were no free tables and we were glad we had booked. The service was still friendly and efficient. Our food got to the table piping hot and fresh. Since our last visit, the boyfriend mentions it every single day (and he’s a fussy eater!).

Definitely recommended!

Hi , I don’t think they are certified because they also sell alcohol on the premises.
