Β tanvi nail and body bar illovo review

Yesterday I finally got a chance to review the Tavi Nail & Body bar at Illovo Junction, and like Illovo, it is incredibly chic. I was pencilled in for a Shellac Mani and a Classic Pedi. The minute I got to Tanvi I felt right at home. Preya and her team are so friendly and laughed at some of my awful jokes (because there are many). It was my first ever pedicure and instead of ‘tutting’ at me, they welcomed my grubby feet into their salon.

The Shellac Mani looks incredible. If you don’t know what the Shellac Mani is, it is a specific type of polish that needs to be cured with a UV lamp, much like a mini spa bed. Once the manicure is done, the polish is known to last for around 14 days. I’ve heard of some ladies keeping it on for longer. So, it is a great solution for ladies who need to have nail polish on for long periods of time, it looks quite neat for that whole period and doesn’t chip at all. I’m really looking forward to seeing how long mine last. A shellac mani is not something I would do often, mainly because I try to restrict my radiation exposure (sounds archaic, I know). My bitten left hand nails were filed and cleaned to perfection so much so it looks like they’ve forgotten their horrid past. I chose a mandarin colour because I couldn’t decide between pink and red and it worked out perfectly.

The pedicure was amazing. The classic pedi includes a yummy mask which is applied to the feet and covered with booties to keep the mask warm. The beautician told me the process had similar results to a paraffin dip. I chose a Zoya polish for my toenails. And yes, Tanvi stocks Zoya, I am so in love with Zoya nail polishes, the polishes last forever and are Top 5 free. Tanvi also stocks OPI for those ladies who don’t know about the power of Zoya.

I love Tanvi, and Illovo is just so convenient for me. I might just end up giving myself a pamper more often.

Since I am the first from Joburg to enter, I have to win! Okay, and another good reason, I have to win because I am an Honours student and after my week of hell I need to get pampered. And also, I hate painting my nails every other day… S I have to win this before the harsh winter comes!

I’d love to win because nothing lasts on my nails for more than two days and every girl deserves to have pretty nails for more than that. This could be a great opportunity for me πŸ˜‰

I’d love to win because I NEED a pedicure. I don’t know how to describe how disgusting my nails look. I’m not wearing sandals because of the yuckiness! HELP! πŸ˜€

I just won a 1 carat diamond platinum ring and I’m too shy to wear it. Haha just kidding. I actually stand a better chance of winning this mani and pedi *bites nails in anticipation*
As an Indian female I’m forever busy making homemade masala and my nails are always yellowed with the the turmeric so I could definitely use a pamper session. Great giveaway.

Would love to win a mani and pedi because I am the worse nail painter ever! I cannot simply paint my nails cleanly. I love pedis because they shape my nails properly which I am awful at. Tab I looks chic and a great place to have your nails done. Would live to try it out and hopefully become a regular πŸ™‚ I have liked the fb pages too
