Remember the Bobbi Brown BB cream I reviewed recently. I practically flew out of the store with tha bottle. Then I heard about the Erborian BB cream. Erborian is a French-Korean company that specialises in cosmetics that include natural prodcuts. Like the BB cream it’s infused with Ginseng.
This BB cream only comes in two shades. A very light shade that is pinkish in tone and the shade that I bought, Dore. I am about MAC NC 42/43 and this shade works perfectly for me. It is not very orange, so if your skin tone is warm it might not work for you.
When I bought this it was the ONLY one in about 4 stores in Johannesburg that I searched. I tried contacting the Erborian guys here in South Africa but I have not heard from them and am not sure whether this is going to be available or when.
However, I love it. The coverage is fantastic and I find that it gives my face a very matte look which is fantastic. Paired with blush and mascara my skin looked naturally perfect. I wore this on Eid and only added concealer to my under eye area and my skin looked fantastic. Many do say that it is drying, but wearing it in Durban did require me to blot a few times in the humidity. However, it worked perfectly in Jozi.
It only has an spf 25 which is a bit of let down but it smells fantastic and I really don’t mind wearing my Nivea daily face sun fluid. It’s also got a little nozzle which keeps the mess factor down and is a little thicker than the Bobbi Brown BB cream as well (for us clumsy women).
Would I repurchase? DEFINITELY! at R340 it’s more cost-effective than it’s counterparts and worked really well for me!
