ZARA Launches in SA [*faints with excitement]

November 8, 2011

zara the mood, zara launches in south africa sandton on wednesday
I’m writing this on Eid day. I feel a bit like an ex-pat in Durban. Eid here is nothing like Eid at home. Instead of being surrounded by my cousins, we had Milky Lane on the beach in the rain.

Still, I feel so blessed to have a strong family base in this Country, no matter how quirky they may be (especially if the visit ends and I can go home to my sane, so-called Western, uncultural lifestyle.). There are so many things I could mention about my infuriation with the Muslim Community in Durban and the Gossip mentality, but I’d rather much say that I’m glad to go home and return to my {somewhat} normal life.

Also I am incredibly excited for ZARA this week *praying for my invite to the Launch Party (I even have a dress lined up already :P). I nearly fainted when I saw the Mango in Sandton, BUT they don’t even keep my size there, so I’m crossing fingers that ZARA will keep the US size 1 that I am so fond of. I’m really tired of SA shops not catering for the curve-less.

Also I am obsessed with Lana Del Rey

Awesome. I long for European clothes here, who really do cater for the hip-less! All we need now is an H&M and I can die a happy (well dressed) lady

HAHA same here, even if the pricing is, well, pricey, I’m still willing to pay a little extra for this. I hear we are getting TopShop too πŸ™‚
